About this series:

The main objective of this text is to awaken in the student an appreciation for a different language (a foreign language).

At this level the spoken word is given ample emphasis as lessons are rooted in experiences familiar to students. The lessons are also value-oriented with experiences which touch at the heart of human behaviour. 

The experiences presented are placed in social context that enriches learning as well as behaviour, knowledge of places, names, animals, parts of the body, greetings, show of courtesy and respect for authority.
