Harmony A Social Studies Course for Primary Schools

Harmony Standard 2 is the fourth book in response to the new curriculum in Social Studies for Primary School in Trinidad and Tobago. The series emphasizes a harmonizing of individual community and society.

The knowledge of the environment, of history both past and present, of culture and society plays a significant part in the pupils’ progress. Inherent in the course, is the individual at the centre as he/she is allowed to view his/her society in its many faceted forms. The approach andmethods employed offer pupils an awareness of societal, cultural and environmental situations and factors which impact and influence their daily lives.
